Mica Cardozo

FIRST SELECTMAN

After a successful and distinguished career as a business development and sales executive with AT&T, Mica Cardozo brings his business experience and over 15 years of Woodbridge government and volunteer service to further serve our town. 

Mica served two terms as Deputy Selectman to Beth Heller and was appointed as Ordinance Chairman. He also served on and worked with the Woodbridge Police, Fire, Economic Development, Recreation, and Agriculture commissions.

Mica and his wife Pat Cardozo, a successful realtor who was elected to the Amity BOE for 12 years and served as Vice-Chair, raised their two daughters, Rachel and Micaela, here in Woodbridge.  They both attended Beecher Road School, Amity Middle School, and graduated from Amity High.

Mica currently serves on the Woodbridge Police Commission and is a Griffin Hospital Corporator and Woodbridge Rotary member.

MARIA MADONICK

BOARD OF SELECTMEN

Maria Federico Madonick has been an active member of our community since moving to Woodbridge with her husband and four children in 2015.

Maria currently serves as Vice Chair of the Woodbridge Board of Education and Chair of the Ad Hoc Enrollment, Instructional Use, and Space Planning committee, among other roles. Previously, she served on the PTO executive board.

Maria holds a doctorate and works as an Advanced Practice Nurse with Yale New Haven Health (YNHH), where she is active in clinical, systems operations, and quality improvement initiatives; and serves as a clinical educator for Fairfield University and the YNHH School of Nurse Anesthesia; and is a founding partner of Modern Anesthesia Care Solutions, PLLC.

SHEILA MCCREVEN

BOARD OF SELECTMEN

Sheila McCreven currently serves as Deputy First Selectman and has long been active in Town leadership. Prior to being elected to the Board of Selectmen, Sheila served on the Amity Board of Education, the Woodbridge Board of Education, the Board of Assessment Appeals, CUPOP, the Government Access TV Commission, and the Sperry Park Committee. 

Sheila and her husband have lived in Woodbridge since 1997 and have three grown children who graduated from the Beecher and Amity school districts.

With 35 years of public relations and communications experience, Sheila currently works at Yale University as the Director of Communications and Content Strategy for the Office of International Affairs. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the School of Visual Arts.

STEVE MUNNO

BOARD OF SELECTMEN

Steve Munno is the Executive Director and Farm Director at Massaro Community Farm and currently serves on the Woodbridge Agricultural Commission.

Steve moved to Woodbridge in 2009 upon being hired to bring Massaro into operation. He lives in the community with his wife and two children, and his school-age daughter attends Beecher Road School.

Steve’s leadership experience extends beyond Woodbridge, having served on the board of directors for the Connecticut chapter of the Northeast Organic Farming Association (CT NOFA) since 2012, including serving as Board President from 2018-2023.

Sudhir Karunakaran

AMITY BOARD OF EDUCATION

Sudhir Karunakaran (K. Sudhir), Ph.D., was appointed to the Amity Board of Education in July 2021. Sudhir is a professor of marketing at the Yale School of Management with a secondary appointment in the Department of Economics. He is also the Founder-Director of the China-India Insights program at Yale.

Sudhir specializes in economic modeling and data science approaches to understand markets and improve managerial decision-making. He has received many awards for this research.  He routinely advises Fortune 500 companies and nonprofits and has held visiting positions at universities around the world including MIT, Toronto, and in China, Hong Kong, and Singapore.

Sudhir and his wife Sumithra have been residents of Woodbridge since 2002, and have two daughters---one a graduate of Amity and another currently at Beecher. Dr. Sudhir serves on the Amity Finance Committee.

Patrick reed

AMITY BOARD OF EDUCATION

Patrick Reed was elected in 2019 and serves as the Vice Chair of the Amity Board of Education as well as Chair of the Facilities Committee and has served on the Beecher Road School Safety Committee. He is currently a volunteer coach for Amity Girls Youth Lacrosse.

 Patrick and his wife, Dr. Anamika Reed, have 11-year-old twin daughters who are sixth graders at Beecher Road School and chose to make Woodbridge their home because of the educational excellence of the Woodbridge and Amity School Districts. 

 As a school psychologist for the last sixteen years, Patrick has a unique understanding of the challenges facing all students, including special education students.  He also has intimate knowledge of the support needed by teachers to enhance their students’ learning. Mr. Reed has his Masters in both Experimental Psychology and School Psychology.

ERIN WILLIAMSON

WOODBRIDGE BOARD OF EDUCATION

Erin Williamson joined the Board in August of 2021. She has two children currently attending BRS and also serves on the BRS Diversity Committee.

Ms. Williamson has over 20 years of direct service, program management, and applied research experience in the fields of social service and criminal justice, with particular expertise in the areas of human trafficking and child sexual exploitation. Ms. Williamson currently serves as the Chief Programs & Strategy Officer for Love146, an international human rights organization working to end child trafficking and exploitation.

She also sits on the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services National Advisory Committee on the Sex Trafficking of Children & Youth in the United States. Ms. Williamson has a Masters in Public Administration and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. 

STEVen Lawrence

WOODBRIDGE BOARD OF EDUCATION

Steven Lawrence moved to Woodbridge in 2012 and currently serves on the Woodbridge Board of Education. He and his husband are the parents of two children enrolled at Beecher Road School and Amity Regional High School.

Steven is an expert in institutional philanthropy and provides consulting services to foundations, philanthropy-serving organizations, and non-governmental agencies to uncover new insights and make strategic decisions. He holds degrees from Cornell University and the University of Chicago.

Shawn flynn

ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS

Shawn and his family moved to Woodbridge in 2012. He works as a senior analyst at Yale University and currently serves on the Zoning Board of Appeals and the Economic Development Commission (EDC). His public service experience includes being a former member of the CT Air National Guard, former co-chair of Yale Veteran’s Network, and OSA youth soccer coach.

KAL WATSKY

ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS

Kal and his family moved to Woodbridge in 1992. He has been a dermatologist in private practice in New Haven since 1990 and has served on the boards of the Jewish Federation of Greater New Haven and Congregation B'nai Jacob. He is currently a member of the Board of the Jewish Foundation and is active in several professional organizations.

LAUREN FRANCESE

ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS ALTERNATE

Lauren grew up in Woodbridge and moved back to town with her husband and their three children in 2018. Her whole family has enjoyed being involved in many of the incredible arts, athletics, and community programs that Woodbridge has to offer. Lauren holds a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership and has been a public school educator for 18 years.

JEFFREY GINZBERG

BOARD OF ASSESSMENT APPEALS

Jeff and his wife have lived in Woodbridge since 1994. He currently serves on the Board of Assessment Appeals, and has served as chairman for the past three years. He is a partner in the law firm of Perelmutter, Potash & Ginzberg, P.C. Attorneys at Law, where he has practiced law for over 37 years.
